Cat Tracker program update

Albury Conservation Company, in partnership with Murray Local Land Services and NSW Department of Industry – Lands, brought the Cat Tracker program to Albury as part of the program’s national roll-out.

We had a great response to the program with 52 cat owners from Albury and Thurgoona registering interest in volunteering their pet cat to find out more about their cat’s movements using a GPS collar.

However, unfortunately due to circumstances out of our control the national roll-out of the program has been ceased. Therefore the Albury project has also stopped, and we are now working with our co-funders to re-invest the funds allocated to benefit Thurgoona’s natural environment.
