
Albury Conservation Company with the support of Albury City Council and Wodonga Council have formally launched its latest report “Balancing Urban Growth and Nature: A Blueprint for integrating nature conservation with urban development in the Albury Wodonga region.
The launch was held on Thurgoona Drive, Thurgoona adjacent to the glider poles installed by Albury City Council.
The location for the poles was identified from research undertaken by Albury Conservation Company to find the most important connection points across Thurgoona where artificial structures like glider poles may benefit Squirrel Gliders.


The launch was compered by Albury Conservation Company Chair James Jenkins.
Digby Race provided some stories on the relevance of the work to the properity of the Albury Wodonga region.
Councillor Geoff Hudson of Albury City Council praised the range of local expertise that contributed to the report.
