We’re pleased to publish the results from our 2025 Threatened Species Monitoring Program focused on Squirrel Gliders. We have changed the format this year, with a brighter format and succinct assessments to broader trends. From the data we have collected we can see the local Squirrel Glider population maintaining its stable trend this year. You can download the report here.
The report has some interesting assessments of habitat use in different locations and seasons. We’ve also taken the opportunity to suggest make some suggestions to protect the future of the glider and other threatened species.
A big thanks to Dylan McWhinney of DM Ecological (https://dmecological.com.au/) for his thorough implementation and thoughtful analysis. We also thank Albury City Council for their funding of the program as well as the inputs from Wondonga Council.
