28th April 2015 – Squirrel Glider Urban Nest Box Project update

The 100 nest boxes for Squirrel Gliders being built by the Thurgoona Men’s Shed are starting to be installed in backyards of Thurgoona and Splitter’s Creek. Albury Conservation Company is managing the project on behalf of the Slopes to Summit (S2S) partnership of the Great Eastern Ranges Initiative with funds from the NSW Government’s Environmental Trust. The installation of nest boxes is being done by Parklands Albury Wodonga over the next 6 weeks. The boxes and installation are being provided to eligible residents free of charge.
